What should I know before buying a toy poodle from a breeder?
How much should the puppy cost?
What is the best color to get?
Any advice is greatly appreciated! :)What should I know about toy poodle breeders (or in general) in order to buy a puppy?
Make sure to contact a lot of toy poodle breeders and ask them a lot of questions about their breeding program. Get references from others that have bought dogs from them in the past. Then contact those people to find out how well their experience went.
There are many toy poodle breeders on this web page: http://www.pets4you.com/toypoodle.html
Please adopt. I have found that most poodles obtained from breeders are not reputable. They come from bybs. However, if you are dead set on buying one, the AKC website can point you in the direction of reputable breeders.
You want to make sure both parents are champion or show quality, and they need to have pedigree papers and health certificate. Be careful. What should I know about toy poodle breeders (or in general) in order to buy a puppy?
make sure they don't breed by kennel club breed standards...
from your local paper around $200 to $400...
i like the apricot poodles best..

Everything you could want to know is thoroughly answered there.
For instance, check out http://www.brittonfarmsdobermans.com/pup鈥?/a>
Notice how they have vet certificates and health guarantees. Any reputable breeder will have this done. The more transparent, the more trustworthy.
Seeing a back yard bred dog out the paper recommended for health reasons is a first for me. Never heard that angle. Of course this is yahoo, lol. Top contributor, too. ROFL.
You deliberately breed against the breed standard, of course people will call you an idiot. I'd rather have some inbred show dog, than some backyard poorly bred dog by some hick that has a bone to pick with breed standards.
When you spend some real money on a dog, you usually search their pedigree and progeny. http://www.dobermann-review.com/males/Fa鈥?/a>
If you don't, hey it's not my dog. I don't give a crap. Flush money down the toilet. But, a spade's a spade. Poorly bred dogs by some online malcontent are not. What should I know about toy poodle breeders (or in general) in order to buy a puppy?
Please check out what does poodle have as medical defects. Then find someone that raises in home and not a kennel.

Is it okay for a toy poodle to jog with me?
I've been thinking about getting a small dog, maybe a toy poodle. I would like to jog with it. Is it okay for the little guy? Maybe around a 5-10 minute run just so he doens't get too tired? Is it okay for a toy poodle to jog with me?
It should be fine.
But I wouldn't advise too much jogging before the dog is a year old simply because they are still growing.
However after a year and with some training, I'm sure a toy poodle could make an excellent jogging partner. Is it okay for a toy poodle to jog with me?
well i think it would be totally fine!!! as longs as he/she doesnt get tired easily..that wouldnt be sooo good!! haha... i have a miniature poodle her name is zoey...SO CUTE!!Is it okay for a toy poodle to jog with me?
I don't know. It depends how fast he can jog/run. I think he can do it. just watch him run around the house to check it out.
I would get a bigger dog, it is to much for a poodle to go running.
It should be fine.

Is it healthy for baby to form an attatchment to a stuffed toy?
my 9 month old has a stuffed toy she takes it everywhere and now im getting a bit worried that its not healthy. im also worried because i don't understand why she needs it does this mean she hasn't formed a healthy attachment to me?Is it healthy for baby to form an attatchment to a stuffed toy?
i think most kids have something that they take everywhere i think it makes them feel safe and that's why they take it places everywhere
I don't think there's anything wrong with it. And it doesn't mean she is attached to you, it's a different kind of comfort. It might be a texture thing-my nephew loves to suck on the tags of his stuffed animals, so I made him a blanket with tags all around it, now that's his comfort object. The only advice I would give to you is to find a second, identical toy if you can, so that if the worst should happen and it gets lost (or if it needs to go through the laundry), you have a backup ready to go.Is it healthy for baby to form an attatchment to a stuffed toy?
It's totally healthy- it's how they feel secure. From the time my daughter got a stuffed bunny for her first Easter, she carried it every where until she was 3 1/2.
Nothing wrong with that. Just buy a spare in case she loses it.Is it healthy for baby to form an attatchment to a stuffed toy?
Our 8 month old daughter has a special pig stuffed animal that she loves dearly, and our pediatrician said that children bonding with something (toy, blanket, etc.) is a good thing. He noted that it would make the transition of taking the pacifier away (when she's ready for that) much easier if she has something else that gives her comfort.
I had a bear that I used to carry around everywhere when I was a young child (and I do mean everywhere - there is hardly a picture of me without it!). I had perfectly healthy relationships with my parents - I just happened to also love that bear! Lots of children have a special toy - I think you should consider yourself lucky that your baby has found something to give her comfort when you can't be there (and I'm not insinuating that you're not there enough for her - there are times like when she's sleeping in her own room, or in the back seat of the car, for instance, when you cannot be there!).
Best wishes!
I think most kids do that and it's entirely healthy.
I just read an article on whattoexpect.com about transitional objects that said it was normal for a child to form a special attachment to an object such as blanket or stuffed toy. The article said that nearly 60% of all children have an attachment like this, and that the attachment is typically formed at around 9 months of age.
Here, check out the article for yourself:

seems understandable enough to me that a child, regardless of how loving their mommy is, would want to have alittle extra something to cuddle with for when mommy is busy doing dishes or laundry.
In fact, its probably healthy because this allows her to feel secure with an age-appropriate independence rather than clinging to you (which would make it difficult come time to start kindergarten if she has an unhealthy dependency on you).
lol my son has a stuffed elephant he will not go to sleep without! i bought it even before we new if he was a boy or girl! i don't think there would be a problem... most children have something like this. and with time, they grow out of it!

What would be a good toy design for a child?
In my Psychology class, another student and I have to design the ultimate toy using this criteria, it must:
Stimulate a need for achievement
Stimulate creativity
Stimulate language level
Stimulate spatial development (eye-hand coordination)
Stimulate social development (reduce egocentrism)
Stimulate general cognitive development (does it teach something)
Suit male, female, or both.
Should not encourage negative effects (aggression)
Should be original. What would be a good toy design for a child?
3 to 9 months babies always look at the eyes and hand motion. They are also attentive to sound .So design some cartoon with 2 eyes which jumps and make a funny sound at the same time.

How to make a toy for my cat?
So I am skint now I have been to London! Is there any way I can make a toy for my cat out of recycled materials? How to make a toy for my cat?
Get an old soft towel and cut a large mouse or a fish shape out of it,stitch it securely round leaving a gap, then stuff it with the rest of the towel sprinkled with dried catnip which is quite cheap to buy,but if you can't even afford that just make it without the catnip. Stitch up the gap and you have a kickable sized toy your cat will have hours of fun with.
Ok first buy a ball of yarn.second gie it to your cat..third tada!!!!!!How to make a toy for my cat?
screw a piece of paper up into a ball
Get a empty soda bottle and put a bell inside. Then screw the lid back on and Tada!!
Hope this helps!!
Good Luck!! :)How to make a toy for my cat?
a long bit of string, pull it accross the ground, cats go wild over it
cats enjoy smells, sights and sound. but not too much of each. want him occupied? take a small yar, plactic seethrough is best. stab a hole with a nail on the lid. put like catsnacks, or even catmint or whats its called, inside. best toy ever.
or if u want to be active as well. string, feather, soft ball. put together and run around like crazy.
if u are lazy yet inventive. mount a machine to the roof that has like a railway throughout the house roof. string with an item on end, set it going so it pulls the string around the house. cat will have a blast without u needing to do anything.
if your cat refuses to do stuff and thats why u ask: hes depressed, as the vet.
I think tying a string to any obviously observable but light-enough-to-move-around object can be a good idea. Cats are natural predators, and thus love to hunt.
try using a feather duster or get some string and tie a feather on the end! x
Do not give your cat a ball of wool to play with! That can be dangerous unless you are there for every minute the cat has the wool.
Screwed up paper is a good one.
The top off of an aerosol can is good as well (the lid part - well washed- smaller the better like e.g. off body sprays though they dont all have replaceable lids these days). If you have some elastic you can make a hole in the top - thread through elastic and knot then tie to dangle under a table or something cats like those sort of toys.
Really fun can be had out of most stuff but be careful with wool as the cat can swallow it and either choke or have its insides messed up.
milk ring, milk ring, milk ring. my cat loves them.
Those rings that come on the plastic milk bottles drive cats nuts. All you have to do is take it off the carton after you open it and toss it near the kitty. For extra fun you can tie the milk ring to a piece of string to move it along the floor. Teething kittens really love chewing on them.
My cats enjoy a Biro's cover. Just throw it in a corridor (not where there is a fitted carpet, it wouldn't work) and wait for their reaction! A ball of string or old yarn to imitate a mouse tail! Or even an old bobine without thread on it(it would be very messy!) and just throw i so the pussycats jump to catch it...

What was your favorite toy when you were a kid?
Was it a teddy bear, a baby doll, a toy train, or anything else? I was just wondering. When I was little, I used to play with a baby doll. I can't remember what I named it, but what did you play with, and what did you name it, or how often did you play with it?What was your favorite toy when you were a kid?
Transformers and GI Joe (grew up in the 80s)
There's was my Beanie Baby ostrich Zazu that I still own and my two Barbies, Barbara and Jamie. I still have Jamie stashed away in my room somewhere. Barbara has been through a lot worse. I gave her to my sister and bad things started to happen. If the Ouija board is not a toy and is dangerous then why is it sold in toy stores?
I hear many horror stories, but to me if this thing was so dangerous it would evident and not sold in toy stores. If the Ouija board is not a toy and is dangerous then why is it sold in toy stores?
It is more than a toy, but it is not dangerous. I find it to be very unreliable but not dangerous at all. I believe it works through the power of the minds of the individuals using it.
BB
Here is the deal on the Ouija board- it is a toy and it does work. Years ago I was fascinated by the Ouija board and did extensive study by trial and error. This is what I was able to conclude- the Ouija board works-it has an 80 to 90% success rate if some one in the room( not including the two that are using the board) knows the answer- they do not have to know the answer in their mind, for the board to be correct. For example The question ( how much change does John have in his pockets ?) John may not know how much but the board will be right on the money almost 100% of the time on this type of question. Ages .birthdays, money in someones billfold are all answered almost 100% correctly.
The board always works better when everyone in the room believes in it's ability to answer correctly- the game is least accurate when there is someone that does not believe it in the room- at times the game does not make an error in it's answers- there are other times it is off by a good bit, and will give you a different answer to the same question- you ask it if it knows the answer and it will say no.
to work the best-it needs to be no distractions, every one must concentrate on the game- I have come to the conclusion that the game works by some sort of mental process between the people in the room and the two working the board- It seems to know the answers that is locked in someones mind that is in the room. The same things that would be known if a person would be hypnotized and could give the correct answer under hypnosis.
There are no spooks involved in the game, but it does work in a way that is not understood. There is some that will deny that it works, but my challenge to them would be- buy the game and see for yourself- it does work.If the Ouija board is not a toy and is dangerous then why is it sold in toy stores?
The religious and/or spirit-crazed among us can name any mundane object and call it evil or dangerous and create an uproar among the faithful about it, and certainly that has happened. The Ouija board is one example. But the danger is only perceived, it is only a mystic belief, and thankfully we don't live in a theocracy where such irrational hysteria is legislated (well, not usually, anyways).
My wife has two of them and believes strongly in them and that they can hear you and can be dangerous if you speak badly of them. I believe that they are nothing more than a child's toy and are no different than a Monopoly game. ( They both say Parker Brothers on the box). By the way just as an experiment I used some very foul and threatening language toward them and didn't even get a wart. Not in front of my wife, wouldn't want to offend her, she's much scarier than the board! If the Ouija board is not a toy and is dangerous then why is it sold in toy stores?
Exactly.
But people still cling to that Dark Ages superstition about it.
And you have people that swear up and down bad things started to happen to them after using it.........
Good and bad things happen to people all the time.
And it's not because of using voo-do or the Ouija board.
It's called "life."
Life will always have its ups and downs.
Ouija Boards were created for one purpose back in the days of WW1. People back then could not afford to go to a psychic so the Ouija was devised for them to contact their deceased relatives killed in the war. It was game companies that made a game out of it. It is not a game!
It is a toy and it is not an evil thing by invention. It is what one decides to use it for that makes the difference.
You do not need any board game to call something up. Like so many things that have been invented for good or for fun, it can be abused.
This is what comes to mind. A conspiracy.......studies show that possessed children buy more toys, thus sell them something that will get them possessed, and make more toy sales.
Either that, or the stores dont believe they are harmful, just spooky fun.
There are no legal ramifications for selling objects subject to supernatural danger.
It is only by tradition that many counties still require a report on a house being haunted before its sold.
Such is the 'wisdom' of the secular age.
Ouijas aren't dangerous at all.In fact they are great fun.Fooling silly people with a Ouija is a great pass time.I also like reading the ridiculous answers given to questions about them.Thank you for giving me a few laughs today.
Well I think answer your question yourself

Could throwing a shocker toy in a river wipe out the fish population?
like if you threw a buzzer or toy used to shock people could it kill all or some of the fish in a river?Could throwing a shocker toy in a river wipe out the fish population?
First, joy buzzers are wind-up "shockers", not electrical. Second, expecting something that small to electrocute or even stun fishes would be like tossing a cigarette lighter into the water and expecting it to boil the body of water dry.
There are fish shockers that fishery biologists use to collect fishes but they are much larger and have a limited range, a matter of a few feet at most.Could throwing a shocker toy in a river wipe out the fish population?
no the electricity will tak the shortest path to complete a circuit which would be the distance between the shocker contacts. It therefore will not go a longer distance to shock other fish/people in the river.
Also the water will most likely short out the circuitry causing the device to fail and stop generating voltage.

What's the deal with,"There is no such thing as a toy/minature dog!" Is this true?
I thought they just called the miniature versions toys. Like a Doberman and a Miniature Pincher. Or a Poodle and a Toy Poodle.
I have even seen this written in books about different dog breeds. Are they all wrong? Or is it just not the correct term? What's the deal with,"There is no such thing as a toy/minature dog!" Is this true?
This is a great question because I think alot of people are confused about what are the correct terms.
Miniature and toy both exist, like you said there are Toy Poodles and Mini Pinchers. However, it is words like "Micro" and "teapcup" that are wrong. Labels such as these are usually made up by back yard breeders (BYBs - alot of people talk about them here) and puppy mills to make pups more appealing to people who arent aware of the correct "names". The problem with BYB and puppy mills is that the pups are poor quality and often have serious health problems. Especially when they come out of puppy mills as most mills breed runts with runts to make even smaller and more unhealthy dogs. If you'd like to know more about puppy mills, BYB and the correct terms then check out these websites:

No breed comes in 'teacup', sorry, not even poodles. If you go to the Poodle Club of America website, they are quite emphatic about this.
Teacup is term used by back yard greeders to try to make the puppy seem to be more valuable. They are just liars. Anyone who has to use a marketing term to sell their puppies obviously doesn't have puppies that are good enough to appeal to people without a 'hook'. Ohhhh... I feel the thumbs down already! LOL!
If the breed legitimately comes in a Toy variety, it will be listed on the American Kennel Club website (such as Toy, Miniature and Standard Poodles, Miniature, Standard and Giant Schnauzers, and so on). If they come in different sizes, each size is listed as a different breed and shown in different classes. You will notice there is no class for Teacup ANYTHING!!!!!
Another popular BYB scam is Imperial Shih Tzus... again, if you go to the Shih Tzu Club of America website, they are adamant that only unethical breeders use the terms Imperial or Teacup. What's the deal with,"There is no such thing as a toy/minature dog!" Is this true?
Miniature Pinscher are NOT toy versions of the Doberman Pinscher. They are not in the least bit related. The Doberman was created long after the Miniature Pinscher was produced and the Min Pin was not utilized in the creation of the Doberman - they are not even similar in breed type. They have the common in many breed black/tan pattern genetics but so do Dachshunds and Gordon Setters and Chihuahuas - doesn't mean they are related or smaller versions of a breed. There are toy breeds - they to a great extent just their own breeds and not 'toy versions' of any other breed. There are those few that are miniature versions such as the Poodles and Schnauzers but I think you either misread or misinterpreted what was stated. There is no such thing as a miniature or toy Doberman Pinscher, period. Pinscher is a part of a name and it means 'terrier' - Affenpinschers are not kin to Dobermans either but they too have the 'pinscher' as a part of their name.
Well, I have a chihuahua and I've bought different types of magazines about small dogs. Now the term "teacup" or "miniature" dog is only a form of SALES TALK. They say this so people would be more attracted to the dog and so they would buy the dog. This is really bad because the dog might actually be disabled or something's wrong with the dog's bones etc. (for example: When humans are born and they don't grow tall *small people*, it's basically the same thing). I was told not to buy from breeders who sells "teacup" or "mini" dogs. What's the deal with,"There is no such thing as a toy/minature dog!" Is this true?
i have never heard that there were no such thing as toy or miniature dogs, since i have a miniature schnauzer. i think the debate is when stupid breeders advertise "teacup" when there is no such thing. i have seen some advertise "toy" for the mini schnauzer, there is no such thing as a toy schnauzer. there are mini poodles and toy poodles, no "teacup" poodles. miniature pinchers are not dobermans. i think some are just misinformed about the breeds.
i agree with all the other posts but i wanted to add that when a pet store markets "teacup" puppies, it is just a marketing ploy to charge extra money. they think that people actually believe that there is such a thing as "teacup". i mean how are they supposed to know how big a puppy is going to get. my cousins dog had a litter of five and the smallest as a puppy ended up being the largest as an adult. so go figure...
mini daschunds are smaller then plain daschunds I dunno about the other breeds just daschunds
Yes they exist. I think where people miscommunicate is whether or not they're actually a breed.
For example Mini Aussies aren't an actual size catagory accepted by registries. But they exist, as well as with people trying to market off Teacup Poodles and Teacup chihuahaus
Doberman and MinPins are not the same breed. Miniature Pinschers are much older and they probably share a common ancestor the German Pinscher. Poodles do come in 3 sizes, Standard, Miniature and Toy and are all the same dog but for size. Same with Dachshunds, they are Mini and Standard sizes. BUT there are no toy yorkies, teacup chihuahuas or toy minpins. Schnazuers come in 3 sizes, Beagles in 2, American Eskimos in 3 etc so yes some breeds do have toy and mini versions but dobes and minpins are not the same dog. Neither are Sheltland Sheepdogs mini collies. You have to know the breeds to know which is which. No breed comes in teacup, teacup is a marketing term for a runt so a teacup poodle is an abnormal runt of the litter and teacup is never used by true dog people.
There are toy breeds... a min pin, chihuahua, Yorke, toy poodle etc. are all classified as toy breeds. The AKC only recognizes smooth coat and long coat chihuahuas...not teacup. So to answer your question there is really no teacup of any breed but toy breeds are real. When people say teacup it's just smaller the normal.
Yes they exist teacups dont exist I think they may have gotten confused with that
There are such things as toy or miniature breeds. However, there is no such thing as a "teacup" anything. This is a term that backyard breeders give to runts; they know that most people are easily influenced, so if they make believe the runts are rare and special, as opposed to unhealthy and more likely to die, they can get money for dogs they wouldn't be able to sell otherwise.
Miniature pinschers, as a breed, are actually *older* than Dobermans. They're just "miniature pinschers" -- no reference to Doberman, regardless of what most people who haven't read much about these two breeds think. "Miniature" here just refers to that they're smaller than the next-largest size of pinscher. . . "pinscher" simply referring to what they do when they catch something.
Some breeds are miniaturized versions of bigger dogs, just not ALL.
yes ,they are real but people just keep saying they are or they are not
Some breeds have miniature versions -- such as the Miniature Bull Terrier, which is simply a smaller version of the Standard Bull Terrier, but is actually a recognized breed. The Miniature Poodle is another example.
However, there is no such thing as a "teacup" anything. The "teacup" label is simply applied to poorly bred, undersized dogs produced by irresponsible people looking to make a buck.
You can tell which breeds are legitimately "miniature" by looking up the breed standard on the AKC website. All legit, recognized "minis", which are actually a breed, are listed as AKC recognized breeds.
Actually, min pins are not mini dobies. They are a breed all their own.
And Poodles go; Standard, Minature, Toy. So yeah, I guess toys and minatures are different.
Google it. :D
Some breeds DO have toys and miniatures, however, a trend in puppy mill breeders is to call already small dogs (like Chihuahuas, Yorkies, etc.) "toy" or "mini" (or micro, teacup, imperial, princess, etc) to suggest they are smaller than "normal" ones. It really just means they are selling runts that are sickly and deformed, but people are gullible, and they'll buy anything.
And to clarify, the Doberman is NOT related to the Min Pin- they are two entirely different breeds, the Min Pin is NOT a miniature Dobie. Nor are they related to the German Pinschers or Manchester Terriers- in spite of them all looking very similar, they are distinct, unrelated breeds.
Likewise, an Italian Greyhound is NOT a miniature Greyhound.
Here are some breeds that DO have AKC accepted size classes:
Poodle: Standard, Miniature, Toy
Schnauzer: Giant, Standard, Miniature
American Eskimo: Standard, Miniature, Toy
Dachshund: Standard, Miniature
Bull Terrier: Standard, Miniature
NO TOY BREED whatsoever has a "smaller" size. Anything in AKC's Toy Group is either the smallest size of a breed, or the ONLY size of a breed.
On this site, the 'there's no such thing' generally just applies to people referring to Toy breeds as being even smaller (like Teacup) or some of the awful attempts to downsize large breeds like Huskies and Aussies- mostly by crossbreeding runts with other breeds of dog to shrink them down beneath the accepted AKC standards.
toy dog are a urban work people say it couse its more commen its wrong but it can be used like pitbull instead of calling him american st...... they call him pitbull.
yep, one is smaller than the other one. there is also a teacup
Yes there are toys and minitures, they are not the same and the classification also depends on what association or kennel club you are having them classified with. by the way the poodle breed is the only breed that has a "tea cup" classification ...... just a bit of info you might be interested in.traffic cameras

It depends on her is she an immature 12 or a mature 12? I was always old for me age and would've been appalled at receiving toys. Gift Certificates are good that way she can choose what she likes., However, spending a day with you might be fun....shopping, lunch, movie...books are always good, if you know what she likes, otherwise gift certificates..
I'd take her horseback riding, but that is where I was when I was 12. Horse crazy then, and horse crazy now.

What will make my toy poodles hair grow faster?
I wnt my toy poodle hair to grow faster so i can put him in the conential clip what can i give him or feed him to make his hair grow faster???What will make my toy poodles hair grow faster?
If your poodle's on a really good diet, you add salmon oil, and groom regularly, there's not much else you can do. Genetics also plays a part in your dog's coat. Did his parents have good coats?

Do you plan on showing this dog.? And do you realize what it is going to cost for a groomer to Create this cut for you and maintain it. This is a cut that will cost around $300.00 for first cut and around $25.00 dollars a week to maintain unless you can do it yourself.
There is nothing that will make hair grow faster, poodle hair grows fast enough.
You didn't mention how old your dog is, which would help. If he doesn't have his adult coat yet, it should come in by the time he is 1 to 1 1/2 years old. Nothing is going to make the coat grow faster but keeping it clean will prevent breakage and matting. Bathing once a week should keep the coat in good condition while it is growing out. What will make my toy poodles hair grow faster?
It's like human hair-trim it every month an wash often!
If your poodle's on a really good diet, you add salmon oil, and groom regularly, there's not much else you can do. Genetics also plays a part in your dog's coat. Did his parents have good coats?

What is the best toy to give to a guinea pig if its brother died?
my guinea pigs brother recently died i want a toy or cuddly bed and websites and suggestions? What is the best toy to give to a guinea pig if its brother died?
A small soft stuffed animal will help, along with extra attention and extra cuddles.
A Piggie Pouch would be nice also. :)

You should note that some piggies can get very depressed following the loss of a beloved cagemate. Keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn't stop eating or drinking.
Please consider adopting him another buddy from a local animal shelter or guinea pig rescue.

try ordering something online or go to a pet store
maybe buy your guinea pig a new cage so he doesn't smell his brother's scent with some new toys
but dont buy exercise wheels

another guinea pig. they do best if in pairs
put a teddy of a guinea pig in the cage to keep it company
but i would recommend leaving it, because animals dont grieve that long compared to humans, just like in the stores they forget quickly that they was once in a pack. just leave it a few weeks to change and adapt to being on its own
but im sure it shall be fine on its own
I bought my guinea pig, another piggy, when his friend died. They are very social animals, maybe wait a couple of weeks though. We all mourn.
My guinea pig was alone for a little bit and we gave him a soft toy, a live guinea pig defiantly made him happier and warmer.
If you don't have any thing for your guinea pig to cuddle up with You can buy a guinea pig hammock for your guinea pig.Guinea pigs love to sleep in them and run through them. Get a chew log for them to chew on.some pet stores have them. Some like to roll little balls that they are able to chew on.Here are some websites for you that carry guinea pigs toys

I think getting him something too cuddle up in at night is a really good idea. he would be missing the warmth of his bother now more than his company. I make my own snuggle bags ( mini sleeping bags ) for my boars that im not using for breeding and for the pigs that im showing as they don't have company to keep warm with.
Any old blankets or fleecy jumpers are great for them to hide in and under.

My Guinea pig lost her sister, but we didn't get her another Guinea Pig. She seems fine, she loves all the attention she gets now.
either buy or adopt another guinea pig that is about the same age as the one you have now.
Hmm, well. My guinea pigs are brothers and when the oldest brother was at the vets overnight, the other one was really lonely. I occupied him by spending more time with him and letting him stay inside the house more (they live outside 'cus my mum hates the smell of them?) I gave him a few more toys than usual too and he loved it. He ran about happy as ever and didn't cry (you know the way they shriek) for his brother once!
wait a little, if him brother just died them give him another guinea pig, if he is a male don't get another male... get a female. if you have a female it does not matter. maybe geta small stuffed animal thats realy soft to put in there. keep an eye on him because piggys get sad when there buddy dies, so make sure he is drinking and eating ok. get him a little bed thats rely soft and cuddly and i has a roof that is also soft.

How much does a toy poodle weigh at birth?
my friends dog gave birth to a toy poodle that weighed 0.4 lbs. Is that a normal weight for a dog like this? How much does a toy poodle weigh at birth?
Usually toy poddles only weigh about 7 pounds or so, full grown, so I would things that .4 would be about right for a newborn puppy. It will double in size by week 2.
Toy breeds only weigh a few ozs. This is normal. How much does a toy poodle weigh at birth?
My sister breeds them. They only weigh ozs when born.
i would think so since they are so small even when full grownHow much does a toy poodle weigh at birth?
A healthy weight, my mother bought one that was 0.2 lbs. at birth, this fellow is now chasing away the postman ( in his dreams, the postman is not very impressed )
cool
That is very normal. The smaller the breed the smaller the pups usually. Larger dogs have larger pups. Our boxers range anywhere from a pound to a pound and a half and they are a might size larger than a toy poodle :-)
sounds bout right to me

Sounds about right. When My poodle had puppies you could hold each one in the palm of your hand. And they always pee on you.

Is there an interactive toy for kids that resembles the Talking Tomcat for the iPhone?
My niece likes to play with the Talking Tom iPhone app, but I'd rather she didn't play with my phone because she's accidentally deleted something before.
Is there some kind of digital toy like that app? Touch screen, voice manipulation, etc.?Is there an interactive toy for kids that resembles the Talking Tomcat for the iPhone?
I don't think such an interactive toy exists, however there are some options you can give her as an alternative. I recommend you to give her MobiGoTouch Learning System. This is a portable handheld gaming system with touch screen technology that lets kids enjoy learning on the go. Maybe if she is so busy with her own handheld device then she won't play with your iPhone anymore. And maybe as a bonus you can also give her a Toysmith's Multi Voice Changer :-)

How much is this toy worth?
I found a cragstan "The Busy Housekeeper" toy in my grandma's basement. I searched it up on the internet and there a very few of them and they are bears. The one in the box I found is a rabbit which I have not found on the internet. It is in original packaging but the box is beat up. How much is it worth? How much is this toy worth?
The replica of the box of the game is $49, and have seen the complete game auctioned off for $130. But if it's in fair condition, you can get about $150 for it. But it's a VERY vintage game; your grandma may not want to give it up.

maby you should get a life and then we would not have this problem. Um I would have to say that a Xbox 360 is fun to play
Well, sometimes when I'm bored at home I bring really tiny colored, store bought feathers that I can break off into tiny pieces. Then I can just blow it into the air and see where it goes, sometimes it can land on someone's head, and they won't notice, it's really funny. You can also daydream. You can also go to the dollar tree, and get those plastic mini, black and white games, that only last a few minutes but is a time killer. You can usually find them in kids meals. What is a good toy for time killing?
Dude how about some kind of building block. I once had an idea and used 5 hours with out noticing and made the eiffel tower (own design)out of lego. Try Zoobs or technic, they are fun to. You could also try the bionicle franchise, The parts have dozens of possibilities. (In the USA an average one would cost around $10-$20.

Please excuse my contact. She really thinks that she's a droid, so I just let her be. The funny thing is, I actually think I know what you're talking about. Are you referring to the toy that you give verbal commands to? The only commands I can remember for it is the DO YOU REMEMBER command: Such as "Hey R2, do you remember .......?" and you can say any SW character and R2 will react accordingly. So if you say "Hey R2, do you remember Darth Vader?" He will start shaking and squeaking. Anyway, I hope that's the toy you're talking about, and sorry I couldn't be more helpful.dairy queen locations

Help me write a review of the Toy Story Movie?
I have to write a review of a Toy Story movie (either 1 or 2) then turn it into a speech and read it to the class. What are some things I could write about? What toy story movie should I review? Help!
Things I need to include are; storyline, characters, settings, themes, sound and visual effects.Help me write a review of the Toy Story Movie?
A very sweet and fun movie. TOY STORY has great computer animation. A simple yet well told story is also added as well. The voice overs are top notch and everyone gets a fair share in this movie. PIXAR has done a good job placing itself on the map.
Set in Andy's room and before the family moves, his mother decides to throw a birthday party for the young lad. Andy's toys all have a conscience and are led by his favorite, Woody. But alas, the big new toy from the party unknowingly takes Woody's mantle.
Envy and jealousy are brought up well. So is the ignorance of Andy's toys and the loss of innocence from Buzz Lightyear. TOY STORY is well packaged exceeded only by its sequel. A good rent.

Themes you can look for are jealousy, anticipation, inadequacy and how all of this relates to us and how we feel when something new and different comes in our lives.Help me write a review of the Toy Story Movie?

What do you like best about the Toy Story films?
I'm 21 and have always loved movies. Near the tip top of my favorite animations are toy story 1 and toy story 2, for many reasons. I just wanted to know what was some reasons you guys have for liking the movies, or your favorite parts. (to get excited for the third film!) no haters please! What do you like best about the Toy Story films?
Tour Guide Barbie. In the fake outtakes at the end of TS2, there she is, unstoppably pleasant waving good-bye to moviegoers. Finally, she's had enough and whines that her mouth is tired. Absolutely priceless.
I loved seeing Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head come to life. I played with those toys when I was a kid.
I respect Tom Hanks as a leading actor so much. It was fun to see him return to the fun type of role he did frequently when he was young. What do you like best about the Toy Story films?
I liked Toy Story 2 better that this movie was longer than Toy Story that I'm so excited I can't wait to see Toy Story 3.

The toy boat sailed the world. The boy had made it and set it adrift. This is an old one.Movie i remember from grade school about a boy and a toy boat?
Maybe you are thinking of Paddle to the Sea (1966).
Paddle to the Sea, the short film named after the carved wooden toy boat it tracks through various waterways from Canada to the Atlantic Ocean, is Canadian director William Mason's sweet homage to the 1940s children's book. Like The Red Balloon, Paddle To The Sea folklorically portrays a toy's journey, with a bit of added personification since the whittled boat contains a stoic Native American man carved into its seat. The film begins in a Nipogon log cabin, where a boy laments releasing his newly crafted artwork but soon realizes that setting his toy free is the only way to enliven it. After pouring molten lead into the boat's base to encourage its floating upright, and writing "I am Paddle to the Sea: Please Put Me Back in the Water" on the boat's underside, he drops the boat into a snowy stream and hopes someday it will reach the ocean. Beyond the film's wise message of non-attachment, wonderment is sustained throughout while trying to guess how Mason managed to track this swift-sailing canoe down river rapids, through industrially polluted waterways, and even over Niagara Falls. Fortuitous shots of animals investigating the boat as if to eat it seem almost pre-planned. Cameras strapped onto rafts, lowered down cliffs by rope, and more enabled the director to follow the toy in close-up, as if he were filming a wildlife documentary. Narrated from an omniscient point of view by a man with a soothing storyteller's voice, Paddle to the Sea is a lullaby to tranquility that entertains with simple charm and clever wit.national tire and battery

How build a toy car that moves without electricity?
I have to make a toy car that moves by itself without electricity. I thought about magnets or compressed air but I don't know :(
The car has to move (go and come back) for 10 minutes on a wood board and I'm not allowed to change or modify the board.
thanksHow build a toy car that moves without electricity?
Just use an old fashioned alarm clock as an engine, it wont drive fast but will last the time, and as I gather it - speed wasn't a subject. Could be alittle tricky to fix a gear to use the whole stored energy in about ten mins, get help from some crafty guy, he will also have the "engine" somewhere in his dusty storage.
School project - like toy cars are more commonly evaluated by distance, not time. Ten minutes also seems an extraordinarily high criteria for a non-battery powered toy car. You will need to conserve the small amount of rubber band, drop weight or spring energy available on that small scale so just arrange the drive for very low speed. Multiple reversals on that undescribed board will be tricky. In that regard, is there a stipulation for minimum distance to go and come back ? If not, then you might arrange for just a rocking back and forth motion. Also, is straight line travel required ? Would a circular path be also acceptable as leaving a position and returning to it ?
EDIT - I really like the adapted clock motor idea from Thorsten. A circular crank arm from the clock pulling a capstan-type drive on the power axle , coupled with a return tension spring could be arranged for the reversing drive feature. How build a toy car that moves without electricity?
Use rubber band power. I used to play rubber band powered airplane, boat or car when I was a kid in China. They ware made of light wood and paper.

how big is this wood board? could a simple steam engine do it or maybe (it can be built small using gears to be propeled)
They ware made of light wood and paper.

look for a colorful wheel , activate that and it will turn from night to day or day to night.
its a little house thing with a colored circle. You have to press a button like in your buildings. There is one in nearly all the areas.
or search for a pole with colors on it and active it
or maybe go back to a save before you bought it

Why might my toy poodle have brown spots near the tip of feet?
First of all my toy poodle is white/her hair is all white. She has like caramel color streak at the near end of her feet where the hair is,she also has the same color of brown near her mouth.I was considering it to be just dirt,so i decide to wash her and it still seem to be there and everything.I was hoping for anyone to tell me the cause of this. Why might my toy poodle have brown spots near the tip of feet?
its stains.. the color around her mouth is stained from her saliva.. or the bacteria in the saliva.. the feet, ussually is from the dog licking the feet.. same reason- bacteria in the saliva causes staining. Why might my toy poodle have brown spots near the tip of feet?
Considering poodles can come in varieties of colors including phantom, piebald and parti-color, I'd imagine it's an apricot or chocolate colored marking. It may be a spot, or her coat in general may technically be that color, albeit extremely faded. An example are white huskies. Some all white huskies aren't actually all white, but have very, very pale red markings that can only be easily seen under the right lighting conditions.

Trying to find special Christmas and toy store in Pennsylvania?
Hi, I am looking for a special huge Christmas and toy store, located in Pennsylvania, perhaps it is in Erie or Lancaster? I used to go there with my family every Christmas holiday season...Reason it is special is because people used to enter the store and walk through a very large hallway seeing a major Christmas exhibit, with moving trains and mini cities and moving and singing figures...at the end of the walk, you got to meet with Santa and then afterwards, shop at their toy and Christmas store...
Anybody know what the name of this sore is, a Web site address and the location?
Thank you!Trying to find special Christmas and toy store in Pennsylvania?
You won't find it in Lancaster or Erie. Pittsburgh has way too many malls and there's tons of different toy stores from indepently owned to big chains like Toys R Us. So if you want Christmas shopping done Pittsburgh is your city.Trying to find special Christmas and toy store in Pennsylvania?
I NEVER SAW A STORE AT XMAS LIKE THE ONE U ARE TALKING ABOUT BUT ... ERIE HAS A FEW MALLS TO CHECK OUT AND PITTSBURGH'S A NICE CITY TOO. DON,T KNOW ABOUT LANCASTER,

How do i measure efficency when i place an electric toy car vs a solar car? how do i know which one is better?
I cant measure it in velocity or speed. SO what else measures do i have? They are both toy cars. science fair proyect by the wayHow do i measure efficency when i place an electric toy car vs a solar car? how do i know which one is better?
"Efficiency" is always a modifier and not a subject. Typically we are describing the efficiency OF an engine's conversion of energy from one form to another. We could also be measuring the efficiency OF a vehicle's ability to travel through the air or we might be measuring the efficiency OF the drive train. It does no good to compare the aerodynamic efficiency of one vehicle compared to the drive train efficiency of another.
All efficiencies compare what useful work or product is produced divided by the amount of energy or product supplied. If I put 100 units of energy into an engine and it gives me 90 units of work the efficiency is 90%. To measure the energy efficiency you need to measure the amount of energy installed and the amount of energy in the work done.
You could measure the amount of energy consumed by the the vehicle and then compare this to the speed. It is best if you use the same platform for a vehicle so that you do not have to estimate aerodynamic differences. And then you would have to subtract the vehicle drag from aerodynamics and rolling resistance. The solar vehicle may go slower but when you compare it to the energy consumed it may have a higher efficiency.
For an experiment you might have one vehicle design that you could adapt to three means to receive energy. From an artificial light source placed above and in the middle of a circular track you could calculate the the amount of energy received by solar cells. You might electrify the track and use an induction pickup to power the vehicle and last you might use on vehicle batteries. You may choose to first provide ballast to equate the different platforms and test the electric systems and then remove the ballast and use it as an experimental value. In this case you might be measuring distance over time. You would have to convert the energy in and the energy out to the same units. You have to try to keep all elements equal except the one value that is to be experimentally determined. How do i measure efficency when i place an electric toy car vs a solar car? how do i know which one is better?
Well to begin with the motor, how many much is it consuming and outputting. Velocity and time, also the distance.book clubs

Is a nerf football OK for a dog to use as a chew toy?
My neighbors just got a dog, so I figured I would get them some toys, I have a few stuffed animals and a nerf football laying around, is the nerf (POOF brand) football OK for the dog to use as a chew toy?
Thanks! Is a nerf football OK for a dog to use as a chew toy?
It's not ok for a puppy, but ok for a adult dog. A puppy could bite into it and its tooth could get stuck in the football. Thats what happen to my puppy, Good Luck I hope I could be some help to you....Have a nice night.......Derek
Probably not. You dont want the dog to have something he can easily bite chunks out of.
Stuffed animals are probably okay.
Different dogs like different toys - some dont like toys at all.
Why not ask the neighbor what the dog likes to play with?Is a nerf football OK for a dog to use as a chew toy?
no, dogs can easily destroy nerf balls and choke on the pieces or get obstructions which can mean lots of money at the vet and a sick dog. Avoid NERF ballz!
Nope, the dog will destroy the Nerf foam and will ingest it and end up dead.Is a nerf football OK for a dog to use as a chew toy?
they could choke on the small pieces so no its not okay

Is buying a toy and not telling your man about it disrespectful to your man?
My man just found out about a toy that I bought a couple of months back and now he thinks that I'm being disrespectful towards him by having it. I need some opinions because I don't think that having one and not telling him is a big deal.Is buying a toy and not telling your man about it disrespectful to your man?
No. It isn't. Your guy has some insecurity issues if he feels threatened by a toy.
id think its hot,Is buying a toy and not telling your man about it disrespectful to your man?
Allow him to participate by using it on you. I think he will find that a turn on and make the toy more acceptable.
No, not at all! It's your right to have a toy to masturbate with if you want. No biggie. He's insecure. Are you having sex with him and enjoying it? Complimenting him? How's the sex life with him? I say he needs to get over it. The toy is not a replacement for him. It's like how women are with men who use porn... it feels like a replacement. Does he use porn? No, well, then maybe you'd have to respect his wishes if it bothers him. Your call.Is buying a toy and not telling your man about it disrespectful to your man?
Why is it men get so jealous of these harmless little toys. Do they feel inferior or what? I myself dont find them disrespectful at all, heck I ve even introduced them to each other! lol Then there is no animosity! Integrate it and see what happens. could be fun.
hell no it's not
Only one toy? Maybe he was upset you did not have one to use on him? Other than that he should have not complaints. Maybe he is one of those guys that is into that stuff.

Did you ever buy a Buster Cube or other interactive toy for your dog?
And did your dog like it and play with it? If I may ask a second, related question, did you ever buy a Wiggly Giggly toy for your dog and was it enjoyed by your dog?Did you ever buy a Buster Cube or other interactive toy for your dog?
My dogs have both and love both! My Westies especially loved the Buster Cube and had so much fun trying to get the goodies out. They also found a way to pick it up and carry it and when it would get stuck in a corner or go near the top of the stairs they would just pick it up and move it and they had the big one. I love the WIggly Giggly and the sound it makes...my dogs got nuts for goofy sounds like that. They also have a ball that dispenses goodies like the Buster Cube but I can't remember the name of the toy. I got it at PetSmart.
My littlest dog LOVES her Pyramid treat thing. She'll happily pass up a full bowl of food and chase that bloody thing around the flat for hours for the exact same kibbles.
I did buy my guys a Wiggly Giggly. I was attracted by the packaging that said it was unbreakable. It took my Alsatian/Malamute cross about four minutes to destroy it. To be fair, he really enjoyed doing that.Did you ever buy a Buster Cube or other interactive toy for your dog?
My dogs have Leos, an IQube, Intellibone, and a Molecuball. They love them- especially the IQube and the Leo toys. My Min Pin will carry his Leo around with him everywhere, whether it happens to have food in it or not!
I do not have a Wiggly Giggly. However one of my dogs loves to chase around a remote control car.
I've purchased both of those toys for my dogs. The Buster Cube was not amusing for my dogs, although I have heard from other owners that their dogs play with it. The wiggly giggly ball was enjoyed by my two bigger dogs until my Great Dane decided he needed to find out where that funny noise was coming from and bit the thing in half. But that's just my giant pup- there are not a lot of toys that I've found that can hold up against his strong chewing.
The Tug-a-Jug by Premier is an interactive treat dispensing toy. My Dane loves it and hasn't destroyed it and we've had it for a few months. I recommend the tug-a-jug to my clients because it is one of the harder puzzle toys for dogs to figure out so it will keep them amused and stimulated.Did you ever buy a Buster Cube or other interactive toy for your dog?
Mine didn't really like it %26amp; I gave it away. It was a prize at a dog show or obedience trial, so no great loss. They are more into woobies than "hard" toys, altho they like a Kong stuffed w/ goodies and will play with balls %26amp; flippy fliers when I throw them and a couple of them like latex squeaky toys. (Mommy likes quiet toys.) My Dobe is a bobo man (bobos are long woobies, of course, and should be long enough to knock things off shelves on both sides of the dog as it runs thru the house.)
These toys are great for dogs! Great stimulation, great fun, and keeps the dog happy when you are gone! I think they are great for real active/smart breeds!

Why are my toy poodles needing to go out more ?
My two female toy poodles who are 11 years old in human years have needed to go out once every hour instead of once every four hours? Why are my toy poodles needing to go out more ?
Have you had them in recently for a vet checkup? Since they're getting on in years it's probably a good idea. Mention their symptoms to your vet. It could certainly be normal, but it would be good to rule out a urinary or kidney problem.
Have the vet check your dogs. Could be urinary infection. Have the dogs checked as soon as possible. If it is an infection, don't let it blossom into something more serious. Why are my toy poodles needing to go out more ?
are you talking about going out to socialize or water the lawn??
Have you noticed that your dogs are drinking more water?? if so then that is the reason. Have your dogs been given a different diet?? Have they had working done?
I have noticed that a dog with has worms will go outside more often than a dogs who does not have intestinal parasites. reason? well the worms suck out all the nutrients as it is being digested and the "leftovers" go right through the animal.
There are so many reasons for this to happen, but the best way to find out is to ask your local vet
They are getting older and so they need to go out more. Just like when old humans need to wear Depends. Be happy that they still can hold it at that age.Why are my toy poodles needing to go out more ?
maybe they are feeling more inergenic or are bored buy some toys for them so they have fun inside
11 years old in human years..ok so like how old are they really? Are you using a 1 dog year/ equals 7 human years? I never get this...its not that they are counting in human years...they just have shorter life spans....flies dont live in human days....they just live....
If they are drinking excessively and using the bathroom tons more, this could be a sign of diabetits. Are they overweight? Do they still eat, normally? Are they peeing everytime, or just wanting to go out and sniff stuff? Have they been spayed? Are they in heat? If so they could be marking.....many many many questions. best bet, call your vet and ask him/her.
Is it for poop or pee or both?
Did you recently change their diets?
Also as the first person said... may not be a bad idea to take them to the vet for a check-up

What is your Guinea pigs favorite toy?
I want to buy or make my guinea pigs a new toy for their cage. They already have a couple of tunnels and hidy holes but I want to get them something different. Whats your guinea pigs favorite toy? It can either be home-made or something you bought at a pet store. If you have any links please share. What is your Guinea pigs favorite toy?
Guinea pigs really enjoy playing with you more than with things, they just are not wired that way.Go to my You Tube site and view How I Potty Train, in that video is show you how to train your guinea pig to be on the bed with you for an extended amount of time with out having a potty accident. They find this very calming and feel very loved. In no time most guinea pigs are running up and down the full length of the bed until they need a nap, they will curl up next to you and sleep. It is so much fun to watch them having so much fun!! many guinea pigs will also start to play Peek a Boo with you also, at this point it is hard to tell who is having the most fun you or the guinea pig!!What is your Guinea pigs favorite toy?
My guinea pigs have never been too fussed on toys, but they do like toilet paper tubes stuffed with hay. I usually put alfalfa hay in there as a treat as they're not supposed to eat it a lot. I've tried those little cat balls with bells and wooden chews, but they're just not interested. They loved the hay tubes though!!What is your Guinea pigs favorite toy?
they don't really like toys. the most fun mine ever had was eating grass in the backyard for 2 hours. watch out for cats thoughmexican food

Why did the movie Tangled have a bigger budget than Toy Story 3?
Tangled cost $260 million to make and Toy Story 3 cost $200 million to make. TS3 had more mainstream voice actors than Tangled and it was longer. I'm confused. Why did the movie Tangled have a bigger budget than Toy Story 3?
I would guess because Tangled used original characters that had to be created from scratch and Toy Story 3 already had all the characters (and some sets like Andy's room) modeled from the previous films. Why did the movie Tangled have a bigger budget than Toy Story 3?
It depends on the contracts of the actors. Maybe Tom Hanks and the others took a smaller salary compared to Tangled. And maybe the computers for Tangled needed some king of different software compared to Toy Story 3.Why did the movie Tangled have a bigger budget than Toy Story 3?

Three month road trip across the USA; what do I need?
My dream getaway is to take a lengthy road trip from Washington, D.C. (where I permanently reside) to San Francisco, to Miami, and back. I've already spent very long in thoroughly tracking routes to take, completely excluding major Interstates. I have prepared an itinerary that lasts nearly three months with many cities, towns, and sites.
I plan on taking either a car, or an RV, something to be comfortable in. I'm not sure if I should bring along other people, but it would help with gas prices and any tolls I may come along. I'm trying to leave space for spontaneous stops and random places to explore, so I haven't planned much beyond that. I also have the problem of financing it. I think it would cost so much money, even though I plan on sleeping either in the car, on a campground, in a tent, or in an RV, I do plan on staying overnight at certain destinations (Vegas, L.A., Dallas, Miami, Myrtle Beach, places where people would stay at a resort) to sleep on a bed and just have accommodations indoors for a couple of nights.
I imagine my entire trip to cost at least 8,000USD (excluding the cost of the RV) for supplies for the road, medical supplies, insurance, indoor stays, resorts and parks where there is a charge, pit stops, reserves for medical emergencies, outdoor gear, and entertainment.
What else should I be prepared for on the road or at destinations? I'm planning on seeing everything between DC and L.A. so you know that it includes a hefty lot. I want to be prepared. I also have a cat. Should I bring him with me if I have an RV? I don't trust anyone else to take care of him for months while I'm away, plus I want his company.Three month road trip across the USA; what do I need?
Just make sure you have access to extra cash in case something comes up... And I don't think you mentioned gas in the post, but surely you thought of it...Three month road trip across the USA; what do I need?
Be prepared for the worst. Know a bit of self defense. Know all the emergency phone lines. Know where are the safe places to go to. In case you do get into trouble, how will you handle it.

Is Nick Jonas Dead?!?
i just read this article saying that nick jonas died from cardiac arest!! is this true???????
heres what it said.......
There is some tragic news today for the music world. Nick Jonas has died:
Teen pop-star Nick Jonas was pronounced dead at Baylor University Medical Center at 7pm EST after going into cardiac arrest. Paramedics were called to Silver City Cabaret, a popular strip club in Dallas, after Nick experienced chest pains and difficulty breathing while receiving a lap dance from an exotic dancer.
Witnesses claim Nick was unusually pale and walked with an uneven gait that evening.
“He made frequent trips to the restroom, and he could barely stand,” said Violet, a dancer at Silver City Cabaret. “We figured maybe he'd been drinking or something. He's acted this way before in the club, though not to this extent. He just kept buying dance after dance so we just assumed he was incredibly aroused. I wish we would have done something.”
Nick's older brother and fellow band-mate Joe Jonas mentioned Nick had neglected to properly treat his diabetes that evening, being completely enamored by the dancers. While no official statement has been released by the Baylor medical staff, it is believed intense physical stimulation and hyperglycemia contributed to his cardiac problems. Is Nick Jonas Dead?!?
Yes Its All Over This Is the Worst EVARRRR They Are Probally Gonna Have It On THe New

Why would he go to a strip club, and drink? And being around dancers doesn't effect diabetes. Are you really that ignorant? Is Nick Jonas Dead?!?!1?

Is this Historical info correct ? (10Points)?
Explain JFK's popularity - worth 6 marks.
In 1960, when democratic president JFK was elected (by a very small margin) there was no doubt American prosperity would continue, however the USA faced other problems, urban decline (unemployment, rising crime rate) and civil rights issues (segregation) still rotted away creating a split society (white suburbia and the poverty ridden cities and southern states). Kennedy proposed to tackle these issues with his 鈥楴ew Frontier鈥? which aimed to destroy twentieth century evils such as deprecation, inequality and poverty by introducing far-reaching reforms to society. This not only made him popular with working class Americans, but with black citizens still facing discrimination and the hippy youth culture who campaigned for an end to poverty and segregation. He held talks with black rights leaders such as MLK, giving oppressed black Americans, who had fought for so many years, hope that change was on the way. Kennedy also wanted to pass the 鈥楳edical Help for the Aged Bill鈥? which would have been popular with all retired and somewhat forgotten senior citizens in America. For all his ambitious plans, Kennedy was largely unsuccessful at passing many of them through congress; he did however increase social security and raise the minimum wage. Kennedy also set up the Peace Corps to improve relations with foreign countries, another one of Americas growing issues. War concerned a lot of people in America, with both WW2 (1941-1945) and the Korean War (1950-53) still in living memory and increasing involvement with the Vietnamese troubles.
Kennedy presidency was the first to see press into the White House, and the heavy involvement from the press of his and his family鈥檚 lives quickly saw the Kennedy鈥檚 become icons of style; this increased their popularity, as politics had never before been glamorous or accessible in this way. His handling of the Cuban Missile crisis in 1962, won over a lot of critics, and his failed invasion of Cuba (bay of the pigs) was seemingly forgotten as they praised their cool headed leader for avoiding what is still to this day the closest to Nuclear War America and the USSR have been. Although historians and US citizens remain divided about Kennedys success and popularity, some being harsher than others, a lot of people see him as a symbol of youth, hope and change that never got to fulfil its potential. He was assassinated on the 22nd November 1963 in Dallas, leaving the nation in shock and grief, he remained only a figure of inspiration.
Is this all fair and historically accurate? Rekon it would get 6 marks? Is this Historical info correct ? (10Points)?
I think you mean "depreciation" instead of "deprecation" (though I might be wrong). If you mean it in terms of "looking down on others", it's OK - though I think not the best word.
Use a dash in "working-class"
Use "Black" instead of "black"
Use "Congress"
I don't *believe* that "Kennedy presidency was the first to see press into the White House". It is *probably* true that Kennedy was the first to allow *TV cameras* into the White House. I think reporters were invited there (at specified times, of course) by previous Presidents.
"Nuclear War" should not be capitalized.
Since I only know of Kennedy through history myself - and apparently I know less than you - I can only say that it seems mostly accurate to me.

Ask your social studies teacher or KennedyIs this Historical info correct ? (10Points)?
I'm impressed-after you ask the question last week I though you were just trying(like most kids) to blow through it and get it over with. You really put in some work here and I think that is excellent. It makes it worth it for persons here who really try to help with the vastness of historical studies.
"Although historians and US citizens remain divided about Kennedy's success and popularity, some being harsher than others"
This is fair to those who disagree with your thesis and accuracy in such complex events is really not the point.
You did a good job-6 marks from me.

You're pretty much on the mark, but just a couple of points: The main concern over war in those days was over a (probably nuclear) war with the USSR, which people worried about a lot more in the early '60s that they did about Vietnam.
Also, the "hippy youth culture" didn't get going until about 1967 or so--white students worked for civil rights during the JFK administration but they weren't hippies.
And segregation was still very much alive in the south in the Kennedy years, although it was losing some ground.

PLENTY of money, clothing (duh), camera, plenty of film or memory cards (if you have a digital), and of course all your daily needs (medicine, toiletries, etc), and definitely bring along some food in your RV (obvious)

THE COUNTRY of TEXAS?...........?
Please note that Texas is the only state with a legal right to secede from the Union. (Reference the Texas-American Annexation Treaty of 1848.)
We Texans love y'all but we'll probably have to take action since Barack Obama won the election. We'll miss you too.
Here is what can happen:
1: Barack Hussein Obama becomes President of the United States and Texas immediately secedes from the Union.
2: George W. Bush will become the President of the Republic of Texas. You might not think that he talks too pretty but we haven't had another terrorist attack and the economy was fine until the effects of the Democrats lowering the qualifications for home loans came to roost.
So what does Texas have to do to survive as a Republic?
1. NASA is just south of Houston, Texas. We will control the space industry.
2. We refine over 85% of the gasoline in the United States.
3. Defense Industry--we have over 65% of it. The term "Don't mess with Texas" will take on a whole new meaning.
4. Oil - we can supply all the oil that the Republic of Texas will need for the next 300 years. What will the other states do? Gee, we don't know. Why not ask Obama?
5. Natural Gas - again we have all we need and it's too bad about those Northern States. John Kerry and Al Gore will have to figure out a way to keep them warm....
6. Computer Industry - we lead the nation in producing computer chips and communications equipment -small companies like Texas Instruments, Dell Computer, EDS, Raytheon, National Semiconductor, Motorola Intel, AMD, Atmel, Applied Materials Ball, Miconductor, Dallas Semiconductor Nortel, Alcatel, etc etc. The list goes on and on.
7. Medical Care - We have the research centers for cancer research, the best burn centers and the top trauma units in the world as well as other large health centers. The Houston Medical Center alone employs over 65000 people.
8. We have enough colleges to keep us getting smarter: University of Texas, Texas A%26amp;M, Texas Tech, Texas Christian, Rice, SMU, University of Dallas, University of Houston, Baylor, UNT (University of North Texas), Texas Women's University, etc. Ivy grows better in the South anyway.
9. We have an intelligent and energetic work force and it isn't restricted by a bunch of unions. Here in Texas it's a Right to Work State and, therefore, it's every man and women for themselves. We just go out and get the job done. And if we don't like the way one company operates we get a job somewhere else.
10. We have essential control of the paper, plastics, and insurance Industries etc.
11. In case of a foreign invasion we have the Texas National Guard, the Texas Air National Guard and several military bases. We don't have an Army but since everybody down here has at least six rifles and a pile of ammo, we can raise an Army in 24 hours if we need one. If the situation really gets bad, we can always call the Department of Public Safety and ask them to send over the Texas Rangers.
12. We are totally self-sufficient in beef, poultry, hogs and several types of grain, fruit and vegetables, and let's not forget seafood from the Gulf. Also everybody down here knows how to cook them so that they taste good. Don't need any food.
13. Three of the ten largest cities in the United States and twenty-three of the 100 largest cities in the United States are located in Texas. And Texas also has more land than California, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Maryland, Rhode Island and Vermont combined.
14. Trade: Three of the ten largest ports in the United States are located in Texas.
5. We also manufacture cars down here but we don't need to. You see nothing rusts in Texas, so our vehicles stay beautiful and run well for decades.
This just names a few of the items that will keep the Republic of Texas in good shape. There isn't a thing out there that we need and don't have.
Now to the rest of the United States under President Obama:
Since you won't have the refineries to get gas for your cars, only President Obama will be able to drive around in his big 9 mpg SUV. The rest of the United States will have to walk or ride bikes.
You won't have any TV as the Space Center in Houston will cut off satellite communications.
You won't have any natural gas to heat your homes but since Mr. Obama has predicted global warming you will not need the gas as long as you survive the 2000 years it will take to get enough heat from Global Warming.
So in other words go screw yourselves. Oh that's right. You already have!
Signed The People of Texas
P.S. This is not a threatening letter - just a note to give you something to think about!
SLEEP WELL TONIGHT THE EYES OF TEXAS ARE UPON YOU
i hope to see a LOT of fellow texan support here!THE COUNTRY of TEXAS?...........?
Kind of makes you proud to be a Texan doesn't it.
but the real question is why do texans call it "tuna *fish*" and "hamburger *meat*"?THE COUNTRY of TEXAS?...........?
I knew there were more reasons why I miss my adopted state so much. Houston I will return someday. God bless Texas!
okie dokie, hookem horns.THE COUNTRY of TEXAS?...........?
1. Johnson space center is outside Houston, it's mission control and astronaut training. It's one of over a dozen NASA installations. It doesn't host the research, production, or launch facilities. It would certainly not exist if Texas left the union.
2 - Oil refinement is not difficult. It's jut not. It's only done in Texas because of lose environmental laws.
3. I don't buy that Texas has 65% of the defense industry. Lockheed Martin is headquartered in Maryland, Raytheon in Massachusetts, Aircraft manufactures are in Washington State. What precisely is in Texas?
4 %26amp; 5. It's irrelevant given that 70% of our oil is imported.
6. That's incorrect. Motorola is headquartered in Illinois, Intel %26amp; AMD in California. Most computer hardware is produced in Southeast Asia and designed in CA %26amp; the Northeast. Leading domestic manufacturing is a meaningless number given foreign suppliers dwarf that. Texas contributes fairly little to software development.
7. The best medical facilities in the country are in greater Boston and California. Simply having hospitals doesn't make Texas remotely unique.
8. Texas schools are known for their football programs more than their scholars. None hold a candle to Harvard, M.I.T., Stanford, Yale, UC Berkley, etc.
9. Most occupations in the U.S. aren't unionized. It's just older manufacturing companies in the rust belt.
10. Again, wrong. Hartford, CT is the insurance center of the US. Ohio %26amp; New Jersey produce more plastics, and polymer science is bigger on the coasts.
11. Sigh. What do Fort Bragg, Annapolis, and Eglin have in common? Not in Texas.
12. The US is a net exporter of food. It doesn't really matter that Texas is too.
13. It's disingenuous to suggest that San Antonio is one of the 10 largest cities in the US because you're considering only the city limits and not the metro area. It's really not that big. Houston is a ****hole, and Dallas has absolutely zero interesting things about it.
Why have waits at doctor offices in Boston grown to be about a year?
Despite Boston's abundance of top-notch medical specialists, the waits to see dermatologists, obstetrician-gynecologists, and orthopedic surgeons for routine care have grown longer - to as much as a year for the busiest doctors.
A study of five specialties shows that the wait for a nonurgent appointment in the Boston area has increased in the past five years, and now averages 50 days - more than three weeks longer than in any other city studied.
Patients in Boston and other areas of Massachusetts for years have faced notoriously long delays, according to earlier surveys of physicians' offices. A number of factors contribute, doctors said, but the 2006 health insurance law, which has required hundreds of thousands of state residents to obtain coverage, probably has worsened the waits.
"We had a bus that was pretty full, and then we invited more people on the bus," said Dr. Gene Lindsey, president of Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates, a large physicians group. "Now people are standing in the aisles."
Merritt, Hawkins %26amp; Associates, a Texas-based consulting and physician recruiting firm, surveyed 1,162 doctors' offices in 15 metropolitan areas, trying to replicate what new patients would experience if they were searching for a doctor for a nonurgent appointment, including a heart checkup, a skin exam to detect possible cancer, knee injury or pain, a gynecological exam, and a complete physical exam.
Boston had the longest delays to see dermatologists, obstetrician-gynecologists, and family practitioners, and was second after Dallas in delays to see orthopedic surgeons. Waits increased since 2004 for appointments with dermatologists, obstetrician-gynecologists, and orthopedic surgeons, but patients can get in faster now to see cardiologists; Boston ranked fourth in waits for heart doctors, behind Minneapolis, Miami, and San Diego. The company did not survey family practitioners in 2004.

There was no rant there. This is simply a C%26amp;P of the mouthpiece of the Republican party, the Boston Globe (please get a grip).
The truth of it is get used to this. This is the future of "universal" health care (call it what you want). Yeah, it's "only 50 days". Tell someone that is in escrutiating, non-lethal pain that they have to wait "only 50 days".
That's a health-care system set up by then-Governor Mitt Romney, a Republican and a complete ignoramus. And some people wanted, and STILL want, that bum to be President.
By contrast, America has a Democratic President, an intelligent, compassionate man named Barack Obama, and he will do better. Why have waits at doctor offices in Boston grown to be about a year?
Maybe you should talk to somone in the health industry in Boston about the "waits" for a year....
Then you say 50 days. Last time I checked, thats not a year....
Also, health care is never a bad thing. Why should those lucky enough to have money be the only ones that can see a doctor????
Waits for non-essential care? That's pretty common place.
(The OB-GYN issue is common place the US over due to less people in the profession due to incredibly high malpractice insurance rates for that speciality)Why have waits at doctor offices in Boston grown to be about a year?
yes americas failed health care system :) Funny how the most liberal of states have all these problems(CA hospital closings etc). The solution must be to do more of that.
I didn't read the rant that followed your question, but the simple answer is America's failed health care policy.
Any thing you say there Nostradamus.
It'll get worse with socialized medicine.
"Obamacare" is much better than No care.
All of our extra ambulance services got shut down in my city. Only hospitals can have them now- So I guess with less ambulances in town- more people will die, this must be a Obama thing!
universal health care. welfare and freeloaders.
too many words my head hurts
"Waits increased since 2004 for appointments with dermatologists, obstetrician-gynecologists, and orthopedic surgeons..."
So why blame a "phenomenon" that has been occurring since 2004 on a law that took effect in 2006?
I think the dilemma is simple, its supply versus demand. There aren't enough doctors to provide care so there is a wait... So the answer is that we need more doctors...
Problem solved.
I know some people that moved away from MA but still come back to MA for health care. I wonder if that has grown? Hasn't MA been losing population? There seem to be fewer options as well or maybe it has not kept up with the population. I do believe that more people are delaying preventative health care.
No - I would think it would be the same. It's crazy what is going on but there are a lot of different forces at work here. The problem is complex and if we are to tackle it then it's going to work on the major forces. The pay off will be in the future but we have to bold and brave. I hope we are that. One force is the cost of medical school. It is preventing more general practitioners because they cannot afford to practice. They specialize so they can make enough money to pay back their loans. We the patient want preventative health care so we stay well.
