Which hospital to go to?

I,m pregnant with a boy and he has a blockage in his duodenum(which means he cant pass his boules). therefore he will have to have surgery when he is born. i live in the dallas metroplex and was wondering which hospital would be better. Me deliver at Parkland and they transport him to Children's Medical Center in dallas or me deliver at medical city and they do the surgery there. My fiance suggests Children's Medical Center because his son has had surgery there for a heart transplant when he was a baby. I want my baby to go to the best hospital possible and him not be in de-stress. i have tried looking at the reviews for these hospitals and read they are both good hospitals but i keep going in circles on where to deliver. any suggestions?Which hospital to go to?

Talk to your OBGYN, and call the hospitals and see if you can meet with the surgeons who will be operating on your baby boy.



That should help you make an informed decision.



Since your fiance's family has had great success at Children's Medical Center, that sounds like a good way to go, but check with both hospitals first.
