Can you guys help me with gamer tag suggestions?
I need help choosing a gamer tag! I would like something like stealth, silent, or something cool. My favorite number is 11 if that helps and I like the UNC Tar heels, San Diego Chargers. Any people here own a CyberPower Gamer Infinity 7500 computer?
I am thinking about buying a new computer, especially for gaming. My current computer is only "good" enough to support 2D graphics and immidiately rejects anything with 3D graphics (it is a Toshiba satellite laptop). I was wondering if any people here had a CyberPower Gamer Infinity 7500 and if it is a good gaming computer for its price. Can it play modern 3D games well? I think she is trying to be cost conscious which leaves me with mixed feelings of relief and sadness. ... Relief because I had a gift card that more than covered the price of a barbie. My 7 month old Dachshund does. It is a stuffed animal duck. She sometimes bites it and it looks like she is tryng to nurse on it. She sometimes even whines while doing this. It's so pitiful but I don't know why. I got her when she was exactly 2 monthes old (9 weeks).
She didn't start doing this until she was 5 monthes old.

my dog has a duck too, but instead of squeeking like a regular toy it quacks. she loves it and I think its her favorite but she doesn't really treat it that much differently than her other toys other than wanting to play with it more. My dog seems to like whichever toy is newest the best i think. I think maybe you should give your dog a new toy and see if she gives up the duck and likes the new toy better. I'm not quite sure if her wining while chewing on it is normal, but I'm sure its not indicating a bigger problem, its just weird lol.
Its normal! My dog does that, shes a standard black schnauzer and 3 years old. She has so many stuffed animals (she stole them from me, but i let her have them because i dont use them ha) that she carries in her mouth like they are her babies. But her favorite toy is this little puppy, and when you squeeze it it barks then pants then barks! She squeezes that thing like there is no tomorrow! But when i tell her to get her puppy, she goes and gets it! She is very smart and funny, she entertains the whole family! We had an ice day (rare for texas! :D) and i went outside with her and she just about slid right into the pool! haha

Clara is not destructive, but toys do take a lot of abuse, and they can be expensive, so I keep stitching them back together!

Those puppy pads a awful to use for training (and now you know from experience) because they are scented to make the dog want to go on them. But not every place they are allowed to pee (like outside) is going to smell like those pads, so it creates a bad association.
We are currently in the process of paper training our new puppy. There will be lots of people that will answer you to say "don't paper/litter train, just crate train them to go outside from the start", but we live in an apartment, and when puppies are little, not only do you not know what their "I have to pee" signs are, they barely know.
And being in an apartment, it's hard to rush a half-started pee or poo to get the dog through two sets of locking doors, down the stairs and get their leash on them, to get them outside in time. By the time you get out there they forget why you brought them. I know your pain!
We are paper training him by having him in a large pen and putting paper down in half of it, with enough room for his crate/bed to be far away from the litter box. also with paper in it. His bowls are in there too, also far away from the box, and there is plenty of play room. Now he goes in the box now, and we are slowly removing the extra paper from the floor.
Eventually it will just be paper in the box. He already goes consistently in the box, and we've only been at this for a day. It is just important to keep a very close eye on the puppy and when he looks like he is about to go pick him up and take him to the box. And then reward him with lavish praise when he goes in the right place.

Get a crate that is large enough for your dog to lie down in comfortably and turn around. If you are not holding your dog's leash, playing with him, feeding him or walking him (ie, if you can't keep an eye on him ALL THE TIME) then he is in that crate. You can also tether him to your belt so he is nearby and you can keep an eye on him as you go about your day.
Puppies should be taken out: after they wake, after they play, after they eat... in other words... take him out often. Dogs can hold it in for an hour for every month they are old. Most dogs by that age are house trained, some require longer to get the idea. Praise your dog when she does her business outside. If she has an accident, it's your fault for not watching her more closely. It may seem like she is in there alot, but you need to put in the time. Take her out often so she is not in that crate too long. She will get the idea. If she has an accident in the house, say nothing. If you catch her doing it, take her outside and praise her for finishing out there. Never punish. Puppies should be taken out: after they wake, after they play, after they eat... in other words... take him out often. Dogs can hold it in for an hour for every month they are old. Most dogs by that age are house trained, some require longer to get the idea. Praise your dog when she does her business outside. If she has an accident, it's your fault for not watching her more closely. It may seem like she is in there alot, but you need to put in the time. Take her out often so she is not in that crate too long. She will get the idea. If she has an accident in the house, say nothing. My family recently bought an eight month old Boston Terrier, and he loves to chew, jump around, and lay with the owners when he's calm.
The other dog, a soon to be 10 year old Labrador Retriever, likes to just lay around and sleep, although sometimes and play with the puppy. The puppy usually jumps around the Lab while the Lab bats him away, (in a playful manner) and sometimes they chew on the same sock together.

My 1 yo Spaniel cross is very possessive with toys. He plays in the park with a group of dogs in the evenings which is fine, he gets on great with all the other dogs. When it comes to toys however, (no matter how many toys are laying around) he has to have the one the other dogs are playing with. When someone throws a toy or ball HE has to be the one that gets it, and gets growly if he doesn't get to it first. Any tips on how to break him out of this unsociable behaviour??What can I do to stop my dog being toy possessive?

The science that goes into building a toy wagon?
for my design class i need to present to my classmates the chemistry, biology, and physics that goes into designing a toy wagon for children.

For biology, I guess you would want to use materials that aren't toxic. For example, if you paint the wagon red, you wouldn't want to use lead-based paint because kids will sometimes lick paint or eat it if it's peeling off the wagon.
You might coat the wooden parts in a shellac or something, so the kids wouldn't get splinters from the wood.
Both of those are health issues, which is part of biology (also chemistry for the paint and shellac). I guess the wood needs to be a certain age so it's thick and strong enough - that would be botany.
Physics would be that you'd calculate the force needed to pull it and get the size and placement of the wheels and length of the handle from that.

Does anyone have a toy kitchen for their son?
We are thinking about christmas presents and have decided on a swing set, basketball hoop, and I was wondering if he would enjoy a toy kitchen. I was reading the reviews for one of them online and they mostly talked about daughters. It looks gender neutral and comes with a lot of play food. Looks cute.

I actually sale play kitchens online and you would be amazed at how many people buy play kitchens for their sons exclusively or for their daughter and son. Play kitchens are great for fostering creativity and the imagination. There are some great gender friendly kitchens out there. My favorite is one by KidKraft called the Cook Together Kitchen. Yup. We got our son a toy kitchen for his birthday this year. He was a year (and already walking and playing and getting into cabinets!). He loves his kitchen, he is always in it doing something with the food, the pots and pans, or pretending to make me food. My daughter never had any interest in the kitchen, so we never got her a toy kitchen. But my son used to walk right into the kitchen and play with the pots and pans, the food in the pantry, and the dishwasher. We got a solid wood, neutral kitchen and put it in his room. He adores it. We will likely move it into the main area when our second son is a bit bigger, so he can enjoy it too. I don't find kitchens to be girly at all. Although my kids are not into the gender thing. My daughter loves dinosaurs and Scooby Doo. My son loves kitchen stuff and stuffed animals of all kinds.

The kitchen is a good idea, but he'll have a birthday. Of course, you could do the kitchen now and save the swing set for a warmer time or make it as a family gift. A family swing set makes it easier to share when friends come over and if there's ever another child.
Why not wait on the basketball hoop (and then an in-the-house ones) until he's 6 or so? It'll be more fun when his hand-eye coordination is better. Too soon is frustrating and can be a lifetime turn-off. Building blocks, an unusual stuffed animal from a documentary or museum visit, Discovery Toys has sturdy items with lots of uses, which makes them good investments, a book or two with interesting stories or funny sounds, aCD of funny songs.

First of all, you should consult a professional, if there is one. Second, there is no designation of "toy" for chihuahuas. Your dog is SMALL, nothing more, even if it's smaller than normal chihuahuas, it just did not get big.

My LOs just had their 2 yr b-day so yours might be too small for this. the toy that was the biggest hit was their inflatable sesame street ball pit. They played in that thing for like two hours straight last night throwing balls everywhere. They loved it.What toy in particular is a must have this year for your baby?

I bought my daughter a rocking horse for christmas this year. I am going to set it up with a big bow for christmas morning. She will be 22 months then and she loves horses so I think she will love it!What toy in particular is a must have this year for your baby?
Look for things that make noise, but something where they can't pull anything off. They will always head for the mouth. Look for the toys that are child proof a new thing they are putting on some of the toys. You should be able to look at the toys and look for small pieces etc....
you havent put the age but my baby is 23 months and i am getting her a tricycle and friends and family have got her a dolls pram, a doll, a scooter and a aqua draw mat which is a waterproof mat with a water pen that they can draw with and learn to grip etc......
A baby doll and a toy stroller. I'm dying to get her those and I'm picking up the stroller on Wednesday lol. My daughter is 13 months old.
We have three things on our list of "must haves" for Christmas for our 2 year old.
One is a sturdy sled so he can, well, sled in the snow. Daddy and I would also be able to pull him around the yard for some mutual exercise. But, I'm sure we'll be getting this before Christmas since we'll most likely have tons of snow before then.
Another must-have is a computer. I know, 2 year old's don't need computers, but we will be able to get a ridiculously good deal on the hardware and can set it up with tons of applications that have been designed as educational interactive games (where we'd play with him). Daddy works with computers and I go to school, so computers are an important part of our lives and our son sees that. It would be nice to have something for him.
The last toy we're considering is a (quality) toy tool set. I'm not sure how much he'll enjoy it, but I'm definitely happy about the idea of having a sander, hammer, screw driver, drill and all that jazz to hand over when he wants to pretend that he's putting new tires on his four wheeler.

Brake fluid! That's right, go to your auto parts store and buy a bottle of brake fluid. (Read the warning label!) It is a very effective paint remover. I put Hotwheels and Matchbox bodies in old pickle jars, cover them with brake fluid and let them soak for a few days. Fish them out with a wire so you can reuse the fluid.
