How do I go about cleaning a Cat Nip Toy?

Without ruining the cat nip. Or perhaps there is no way?

Thanks in advance! How do I go about cleaning a Cat Nip Toy?
Unless its covered in something gross there really isnt any need to. A cat leaves its on sent on its toys and might not play with it anymore if you do clean it. I freshen them up by lightly misting them then rolling them in fresh catnip then toss it to my 'kids" and watch the fun!
if it has a pocket so the nip can be refilled than just empty it and wash it in the washing machine. if not just buy a new one they are cheap. How do I go about cleaning a Cat Nip Toy?
If it's plastic; soap and water. If it's cloth and sewn shut, might want to replace it, if it is cardboard, replace it.

if it is cloth and not sewn shut, take out the old catnip, fasten it shut again and then just throw it in with the laundry.
you cant clean a cat nip toy, it will ruin it and what the cats love about it will be gone, you would either be better just leaving it or go buy some more. How do I go about cleaning a Cat Nip Toy?
I would clean the toy and refill it with catnip. You can find catnip in almost any local pet store.
While is may seem unfair to you, having gotten that nice toy, the catnip loses it's punch fairly rapidly. So why is your kitty playing with it so much? Well, cats live in a world of scents, and she has her scent marks all over it, and will continue to play with it as long as he/she is having fun with the texture of the toy.

Unless it is so filthy that you do not even want to touch it, your cat probably doesn't mind.
