Is it uncommon to have a Mini Toy Poodle with baby teeth at 5mo?

The breeder says the Mini Toy Poodle she has was born on Dec 13 which is just a week shy of 5 months old. The vet suggested it was not even 4 months old due to it still having baby teeth. Could the vet be wrong? Is it uncommon to have a Mini Toy Poodle with baby teeth at 5mo?
Yes it varies upon puppies and their habits and genetics, but it is usually around 6-8 months in an average sized dog to have their adult teeth growing in, but if case be, the vet might ask you would you like the super numerary(baby teeth) removed if you get your puppy spayed.
Pups may still have a full set of puppy teeth at 5-6 months old...

Btw...there's no such thing as a "mini" toy poodle, there is however a Toy Poodle, maybe the pup is younger than advertised so you'd think it was an extra small "breed"...Is it uncommon to have a Mini Toy Poodle with baby teeth at 5mo?
The vet could be wrong, but I doubt it. Sounds like you were misinformed. BUT, toy dogs have health risks, and with that comes a delay sometimes in development. Probably just taking a little longer. I'm sure it's fine, though. :)
theres a chance the vet could be wrong, my friends toy poodle had its baby teeth until it was 6 monthsIs it uncommon to have a Mini Toy Poodle with baby teeth at 5mo?
yes my toy poodle still had baby teeth when it was 8 months old
