My daughter is 7 months old. I don't remember my other two looking for dropped toys so early - she even knows when it has gone behind her or if it is under something. Is it my imagination or is this early for her to be doing it. She has been able to do it for at least 3 weeks or so.What age does a baby look for a toy if it falls next to them on the floor?
Its called object permanence, it usually happens around 6 months
certainly not too early! mine reached for something on the floor at about 7 months too, but when i held something toward him once when he was laying down in his crib - he put his hand out for it at he was only 5 months
it is possible, definatelyWhat age does a baby look for a toy if it falls next to them on the floor?
My daughter started around end of 5 months, going on the 6th. She's my first, so I'm not sure what is normal. But sounds like we're doing just fine. Congrats for having a smart little one! =)
