How do toy rat terriers get along with other small dogs & cats, that were already in the household before?

I am getting a 10-12 wk. old female toy rat terrier puppy, but I already have a 5 year old, male12 lb. Pomeranian, %26amp; 8 indoor cats. You should get Cesar Millan's book called "My Way" or watch his show on the National Geographic Channel. His philosophy is that all breeds and species of pets can get along through proper training and calm-assertive leadership. He stresses the importance of being a "pack leader" through dominant body language and behavior. It sounds like a bunch new age crap until you see it in action.
