Hang the animals on strings from dowels and you have a playful mobile for a baby to play with when it is hung above the crib. infants under one year old especially, love and are attracted to things that stimulate their senses. in toys, that is often : texture, colours, sounds. the best infant toys are washable, but that said, nothing says your toy must be for more than one use. just make sure it has no pieces that can be dislodged and eaten by baby, and that it is of a good size for them to handle. mobiles are often fun to make and good for baby. parents should change the mobiles over the baby's change area and bed occasionally just to keep baby stimulated. did you know that babies don't see colour at first? that's why there is alot of black and white contrasts in baby stuff.
