Can you breed toy dog breeds with large breed dogs?

For example a chihuahua with a lab? Is it genetically possible? Can you breed toy dog breeds with large breed dogs?
Genetically possible....physically difficult....and should never be done intentionally.
I believe it is genetically possible but please don't do that. It would cause all sorts of problems for the mother and the puppies. Can you breed toy dog breeds with large breed dogs?
Why would you want to?
Well, yes, genetically possible.

Although not recommended, and certainly not safe.

First of all, you should never breed two different breeds.

Second, there could be some birth problems, especially if the girl is a Chihuahua. That would be ESPECIALLY dangerous!

Hope I helped!

=)Can you breed toy dog breeds with large breed dogs?
NO the answer is NO. its not genetically impossible, but its down right dangerous if the ***** is the smaller breed. If the ***** is the larger breed, and he can get up and mount her, it'll wirk.
Not a good Idea, Labs have anywhere from 5 to 12 pups and a chihuahua is doing good to just have one since they are so small.

Giving birth to a part lab pup or puppies could actually kill her.
you can, but please dont. and if it ever happened i would hope the female would be the bigger dog. can you see a chihuahua giving birth to lab x chihuahua puppies because i cant. the puppies would probably be the same size as the chihuahua
i have a sneaky suspicion that it would end badly
Physically possible, yes. However, if the female is the smaller dog, the pregnancy will most likely kill her.
A large dog mated with our miniature doberman pincher and she ballooned and she did manage to give birth, early, to one puppy about a third her size and one tiny deformed puppy. She was very sick and the puppies did not survive, maybe because she was soooo stupid. But also because the puppies were the wrong size to grow inside her. Maybe the reverse would have worked though.
Yes it is possible and has been done. The female should be the larger of the parents.Litters bred like this tend to be small .Not many real good reasons to do something like this though.
It is very possible. I know somebody that ended up with Dashund/Lab mixes. The puppies (which are now dogs) are perfectly fine with no abnormal problems or anything. They are healthy and happy, all 8 of them. =]
Yes, you can. While it should not be done, it's only safe when the small breed dog is the male, and the large breed dog is the female. The other way around could very well hurt or kill the mama.
well if the bigger dog is the one having the pups because if the smaller one has them it would be bad.
