I paid a deposit for a red female toy poodle yesterday.
She is only 2 weeks old so i'll have to collect her in another few weeks time.
I would like to know everything about puppy toy poodles.
Can you kindly tell me all i need to know?
I would like to know what kind of bedding should i get for her too?
Thank you!Everything i need to know about a toy poodle?
I have owned, studied, breed and obedience trained poodles for the last 40 years and I am still learning about the breed. Know matter how much you desire to learn about any subject I find that I always learn something new.
If you want to know "everything" then start doing research on the bred from its very beginning until today. A well educated owner of the poodle bred will bring you great understanding of what's and why this bred is an outstanding bred to own.
Red poodles are just beautiful. All poodles were first "party colored" before standards of color were set for the breed.
The poodle is the second most smartest dog breed.
I hope after research that you find out simple things like to leave your pup with its mother and siblings for at least 12 weeks. This is a very important learning time for your new pet.
Bedding? A small create with a warm create pad is what I believe is safe. Because the floor is cold I place the create up where it is much warmer.
When you do bring your poodle home ask in advance to have a toy that has the smell of mom and siblings so it will be easier on the new baby when removing and moving it to its new home.
Have fun and learn everything you can before you bring your new: Until Death do us Part baby home. I believe that pets are forever.
Two of my miniatures are now 17 years old and still doing well.
PS. The breed standard mention above is not completly correct. One example is you need not adhear to the lion cut information. It takes over a year before your puppy will grow in it's adult coat. Poodles coats are high maintaince and you need learn all you can about grooming and maintaince.
Another is yes there is a "Red" color in the breed standards.
Peace

I Hope you have done major research on Poodles, Not everyone should be a owner. Such Red is Known as apricot. And I certainly hope you are not picking it up before it is at least 12 weeks.
They are yappy, snippy little dogs and require al ot of attention, and must be groomed daily and set out for clipping every 6-8 weeks to maintain a nice appearance
The Poodle is a Utility breed of dog and can be found in different sizes. They have a very distinctive curly coat and are known for being hypoallergenic.
They are known for being very people orientated dogs and are generally very eager to please. They are incredibly intelligent and train exceptionally well. Poodle's have been used in circuses for many years and may get bored fairly easily.Everything i need to know about a toy poodle?
