How do I make a toy gun school acceptable?

I have to do this project where we make a product and an ad for it. so my product is a cat toy. it's a dart gun and I put a bunch of stickers and stuff on it. but the teacher doesn't like it. what else can I do? without redoing all of it.How do I make a toy gun school acceptable?

make it a WATER gun
cover it in fur so it looks like a ball have the trigger on the bottom leave a opening for dart
Do some research on guns, and you'll realize that it is impossible to make a gun acceptable for schoolchildren.



I'd say that it's time to come up with an idea that doesn't have an aggressive tool at its core.
Build a Cat-apult - use it to throw the object for the cat.
With a gun? No school will like that, no offense. Since the Virginia Tech deal, schools are going to be much more protective about the things kids do for a project. If you want a cool cat toy idea, why not try a scratching post with one of those fuzzy toys attached to it? Keeps the cat entertained.
I know it is probably frustrating because you have no intentions of harming anyone with your cat-toy... but there absolutely has to be a zero tolerance policy on guns of any sort in schools to help work toward a safer future. You can't accept anything from a cat dart gun to a shot gun... because where would you draw the line. I know it's tough... but you are going to have to start over. Best wishes!



p.s. why not open a yahoo answers question asking for ideas for a product you could make an ad for... that would be easy to make!
Well there is no way to do it without redoing the whole thing but maybe you could make a Cat-a-pult (ha ha i made a funny!) and make it so that it fires something that wont hurt the cat so that humanitarian people in your class don't jump all over you when you present it

At today's society no gun will be acceptable. Try disassembling it and try something different. How would a cat toy and dart gun be associated. There is lots of cat toys that can be thought of made of yarn and/or feathers.
