I'd like to know some details please and about his personality. Should I get male or female? And how much about do they cost?
Check in google images and search toy poodle to see some pictures. I have a siamese cat at home and I was wondering if the poodle is aggresive because my cat doesn't like new comers.I am thinking of getting a toy poodle (type of breed) can you tell me some more about this breed?
I recently bought a Toy Poodle she cost me 700 dollars but she is a doll baby! Cost depends on size and color and whether they are show quality or only pet quality.Toy poodles usually do not get along well with young children I believe mainly due to their size.
All the poodles I have had do well with any other animals as long as they are socialized. Ceck out AKC.org or look at different breeders websites online!

Go to akc.org and research the breed.I am thinking of getting a toy poodle (type of breed) can you tell me some more about this breed?
Toy poodles are usually very intelligent dogs. However, they are not always very friendly to people or animals outside of the immediate family.
A poodle puppy would cost around $500, I think.
When I was a kid, my family had a toy poodle and I knew some other people who had poodles. Many of the poodles had aggression issues and a tendency to be territorial. Ours was very loving and affectionate to my parents and me, but he tried to attack everyone else. We socialized him regularly, and we had other dogs, but he still had 'issues'. My understanding is that this type of behavior is not uncommon for poodles.
If you have kids, you may want to think about a poodle mix - they tend to be very friendly.
If your cat isn't dog friendly, why would you add a dog to the mix? It's not exactly fair to the cat. . .
The only way to know if the dog would be cat friendly would be to get an older dog. http://www.poodleclubofamerica.org/usama鈥?/a> This way they can be cat tested to ensure that they won't hurt your cat. Yes, even a small poodle can kill a cat. Getting a puppy won't solve the issue. If the dog decides that it doesn't like cats at 3 months old, there will be nothing you can do about it.
Toy breed animals are typically very needy. This means you need to not leave it for more than 3-4 hours regularly. They are family and people dogs and need to be treated as such.
Male or female is completely up to you. Whatever matches with your lifestyle more. Personally, I prefer female dogs. Less marking issues in the house, easier potty training, and more lap dog friendly.
With toy breeds in particular, it's incredibly important to use a good breeder. They will test for genetic anamolies and bred for temperament. You will typically get a much healthier dog and a much nicer dog. Pet shops typically are havens for badly bred overpriced dogs. NEVER use them for ANYTHING. Newspaper ads, Internet ads, Internet sites, Yard Signs, and similar are typically Backyard Breeders. Again, they do NO genetic testing, no conformation testing, and typically sell sub-par dogs. Never buy from one of them.
The best thing for you to do is to call a poodle rescue person and talk with them honestly about the breed. They see everything and aren't going to try and shade anything to make you get a dog. From there, consider rescuing or use them to help you find a good breeder. Good luck to you.
