It just depends on the dog.

Some dogs do not like toys at all. Some dogs only like fuzzy toys, some are attracted to the squeak, some like rubber toys.....



Just get a few different kinds of toys, and see what they prefer.
My dog loves playing with ice cubes and frozen carrot sticks. They help with teething too.

I have all sorts of "real" toys for him too, including a puppy kong, stuffed toys, ropes and balls, but he loves the ice and carrots best!
