What is a good electronics toy for a very young child?

I'm looking for something that opens %26amp; closes like a cell phone %26amp; maybe has some real pictures / videos like a cell phone could. My toddler loves my cell phone %26amp; I'm trying to find a good substitute for him to play with.What is a good electronics toy for a very young child?
they will still want yours!!! the substitutes dont work, kids are too smart! the only one my daughter gave a 2nd look was a nemo cell phone, so maybe one with a character on it, and it has to talk and light up or you can forget it! :P even giving her a real cell phone with a charged battery (but no service on it)so she can play with buttons didnt work. lolWhat is a good electronics toy for a very young child?
We had this same probelm with my son when he was little we couldnt find a decent childs phone anywhere its like when we didnt need one we seen them all through the shops then when we wanted one ourselfs there where none to be found . now my son is 3 and past that stage i see really great ones everywhere again i suggest just go to the toy stores etc and see what you can find thats all you can really do



another thing is at some phone shops people will leave there old mobiles (cell phone) to be recycled maybe if you asked you can have one seeing as they are going to be crushed anyway ,,,,, i ended up giving my son a old nokia of mine i just took the battery and sim out of it

Honestly I'm not sure about the cell phone thing but I found that the best electronic toy I have ever found for my daughter is the Leap Frog Refrigerator ABC's Magnet's my daughter could sing her ABC's when she was 18 months old thanks to this toy it is wonderful she is almost 3 and now she is learning the sounds of the letters. She loves singing with it!
