What was the name of the toy in the film Aliens?

Just before the bishop does his knife trick, there are a few characters at the front of the shot playing with some sort of spherical toy, anyone know what it is called?

I've watched my collector's set of Alien movies probably a dozen times each and I can't picture that scene in my mind. I'll have to play my copy of Aliens AGAIN to see if I recognize the game for ya'.

EDIT: I saw it. It's a gyroscope. If you look on Wikipedia and scroll down the page to "properties", you'll see one in operation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gyroscope

I can't find that particular one in a web search but my son had one and it was silver on a black base, imported from China. We bought it at Spencer's Gifts Emporium. They were readily sold at unique gift stores back in the mid 80's, not toy stores.
