About a week ago I bought my pit bull this toy that squeaks it makes different squeaks depending on how hard he bites it. (he has other toys that squeak) When he plays with it he will hold it in his mouth, make it squeak and than he growls. When I take it from him he gives me a huge smile, sits up and looks at me and than at his toy. He doesn't growl at me, but as soon as I give him the toy, all I hear is "squeak Squeeeeak" and that he growls. It sounds more like a mumble growl. He does not growl at anything else. Is he "talking" to it? Is this normal? Why does my dog growl at his toy?
it's normal hes playing when a dog finds a toy he really likes they growl when there playing with it it tells you they like the toy so be proud you got him a toy he loves growling at it is normal and good
He's just havin fun. My dog does the same thingWhy does my dog growl at his toy?
He is asking it to play with him.
He's just havin fun. I'd say it's normalWhy does my dog growl at his toy?
hes doing this through excitement. its natural for a dog to do this
It's just a playful growl. He's having fun....and why not? That sounds like a cool toy.
He might not like that kind of squeak, or he's just playing around. But this is normal so don't worry.
He is playing with it, just amusing himself ,and you !!
he is showing dominance and is playing.
eventually he will start shaking it too.
its nothing to worry about because it is normal play
