Why does my puppy cry when he chews on his squeaky toy?

My 13 week old puppy cries and whimpers when he chews his stuffed squeaky toy. It's sort of upsetting to hear him do it, but if it was hurting him wouldn't he stop? Does anyone know what his problem might be?Why does my puppy cry when he chews on his squeaky toy?
It's his joy, not pain. My 3 year old dog still makes high pitched whiny noises when he's playing with our other dog. It's perfectly normal. Don't stress about it, just let him play :)
LOL, my nearly 2 year old chocolate labrador does the exact same thing, and the squeakier the toy the louder he sings along with it.

It's not that he's crying, he's vocalizing. It's not hurting him, he's enjoying himself and his vocalization is his way of expressing himself.

I hope this clears things up for you and keep on enjoying your pup.Why does my puppy cry when he chews on his squeaky toy?
Check his teeth and gums, he could have a bad tooth or a very sore gum, take the chew toy away till you can check out his mouth, or take to your vet to check his little mouth out.

A bad tooth will cause this, sore gums or a cut on the gum could be causing this.

take all chew toys away till checked out, for his health wise.

Good luck
If it is a real cry, and you will know the difference, it could be the sound the squeaky toy makes hurting his ears. Dogs have very sensitive ears and some sounds can hurt them. Not so much the sounds as the pitch they put out,Why does my puppy cry when he chews on his squeaky toy?
Its not crying its verbalised excitement %26amp; posible exited fustration. His not in pain %26amp; yes most puppies grow out of it. Its all psycological as pups at this age have not discovered the wide range of vocal expressions all they no is to wimper %26amp; yelping.
Dogs make lots of odd noises when they are excited and playing with a toy. Don't worry about it.

ADD Puppies don't teeth until they are 6 - 7 months old
