My puppy has a favorite stuffed toy, and when he plays with it he will mount it, hump it, chew on it, then he will bite down and put his paws on it. when he does this he starts to make a crying sound. Why does my new puppy ( 10 weeks old) cry when he plays and chews on his favorite stuffed toy?
Because he's excited - It's his way of expressing himself.
Make sure he doesn't get obsessed with the 1 toy. Take it away from him and give him something else to play with periodically. Why does my new puppy ( 10 weeks old) cry when he plays and chews on his favorite stuffed toy?
my dog was like this when she was a puppy too.. does the toy squeak? that always seemed to get her really worked up.. like she was trying to communicate with it lol.. it was cute.. he's probably just really excited...it's a way of expressing himself..Why does my new puppy ( 10 weeks old) cry when he plays and chews on his favorite stuffed toy?
The puppy may be excited, but I tend to think it may be that she is teething and her gums and maybe even jaws hurt. So as she plays and she bites down it is tender.
My poodle does the same thing when you give him a treat. He cries until he finds a good hiding place for it. Dont worry he is just excited.
