Why is my black two yr old toy poodle turning silver?

Bogie was one of three in his litter, my brother has the other two. They of course are the very same age, and they are still as black as can be. Bogie was shiney black like his brothers, but his color

is now turning black underneath, with a silver cast on top. However, we couldn't love him anymore than we already do. He is the smartest, highly intelligent, loving toy poodle, weighing 4 lbs %26amp; 9 ounces. He is our baby, %26amp; we love him with all our hearts..

I know it's from the same litter, but are human twins and triplets always identical? Not at all! And it's the same with dogs. Don't worry about it. At 2 years they are the equivalent of about 25 years, and people's bodies and stuff may still be changing a bit until that age, especially hair colour. My best buddy breeds toy poodles and told me a long time ago that it is hard to predict what the final color will be. White poodles can turn black, Black poodles can turn silver, and it all depends upon what genes the puppies inherit from their parents.
