What bird could this be - sounds like a squeaky toy, only makes the noise at night?

We have a bird (im guessing its a bird) that from about 10pm starts to squeak constantly every 10 seconds.



We live in the Uk and it honestly sounds like someone is stepping on a dogs squeaky toy! It is not a song just a squeak every now and then.



Very interested to find out what bird this may be

maybe it is a peacock? because male peacocks do their mating calls at night more than in the morning, also, because of the fact that it is summer(finally!)

some birds have migrated, and are taking time to get used to the time zone difference..

once this bird finds a mate, im sure it will stop.. but it is most likely to be a male peacock

they are VERY beautiful birds!

It is 100% NOT a peacock - i found out it was a Tawn owl! thanks anyway for trying people

oh sounds like the bird we have here! it never shuts up at night but u wont hear it durin the day. the one we have is black and white and sounds squeaky, i live in australia but im guessin this bird is not native here
